Rev. Dr. John L Walker, Sr.

President

John L. Walker, Sr. is a native of Greensboro, NC.  He resides in Seat Pleasant, MD with his 52-year bride, Marian S. Walker.  The Walkers have three children, Cynthia Cyrus, John Jr. and Devin, and six grand children.  Rev. Walker graduated from James B. Dudley High School in Greensboro.  He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force, as an Electronics Communications Instructor.  He served as Worshipful Master of Charles Datcher No. 15, F&AM P.H.A. in 1975.  At the University of Maryland, he earned a B.S. Degree in Technology and Management and a second B.S. Degree in Behavioral and Social Science.  He has a Master of Arts Degree for Central Michigan University and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Rev. Walker is a practicing attorney in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.   Additionally, he has been admitted to the following Bars: The United States District Court for the District of Maryland, The United States Court of Appeals- Fourth Circuit and The Supreme Court of the United States.  He is retired from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration where he worked

in the Manned Space Flight Program.  He taught at the Prince George’s Community College for 16 years.  Rev. Walker joined Contee A.M.E. Zion Church in 1967 and has been a faithful member since that time.  He attended Capitol Bible Seminary, matriculating in religious studies.  He developed program for Juveniles called Project TRUST - Teen Rehabilitation Under Specialized Training, wherein he worked at rehabilitating juveniles who were involved in the criminal justice system.

Rev. Walker is an ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and is the Associate Pastor at Contee A.M.E. Zion Church.  At the 42d Quadrennial Session of the A.M.E. Zion Church, he was elected to the Judicial Council.  The Rev. Dr. Walker loves the Lord and is committed to working in His vineyard, seeking to find those who are lost, that they might be saved.
