Juradine Battle-Hodge, Esquire

Juraldine Battle-Hodge is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry L. Battle, Sr. she is a native of Hurtsboro, Alabama. She attended the public schools of Russell County, Alabama. She graduated from Russell High School as class valedictorian.

Juraldine Battle-Hodge graduated from Auburn University with a B.A. Degree in Communications and a double minor in Psychology and Math. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Jones School of Law in 1999. While attending law school, she served on the Law Review Board for two years. She graduated from law school magna cum laude.

Juraldine Battle-Hodge is admitted to the bars of Alabama, the United States District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Upon graduation from law school, she became associated with the McCartha Law Firm. Shortly thereafter, she clerked for the District Judges of Montgomery County. She 

served as a staff attorney for the Alabama Administrative Office of Courts from 2001 to 2003.

Juraldine Battle-Hodge returned to the private practice of law in 2003. She is currently a solo practitioner with the Law Offices of Juraldine Battle-Hodge, P.C. She serves as the city prosecutor for the City of Hurtsboro, Alabama. She served as a temporary probate judge for the Probate Court of Montgomery County. She also served as an adjunct instructor at Faulkner University and Alabama State University.

Juraldine Battle-Hodge is an active member of various civic and professional organizations: the Alabama State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, Delta Theta Phi, Legal Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Auburn University Alumni Association – Life Membership, the Federated Women’s Club of Alabama, and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She was elected to the Judicial Council at the 48th Quadrennial Session of the General Conference of The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. She is a member of Old Ship A.M.E. Zion Church, where she serves as the chairperson of the Trustee Board.

Juraldine Battle-Hodge is married to Earnest “Smokey” Hodge. They are the proud parents of one daughter, Meghan Louise.
